Our History

SMP is a family business with a history heading back to 1965 when Paolo Malvestiti, the current owner’s father, established a company specialized in realizing custom-designed mechanical structures.

In 1995, after several corporate transformations, the company bought its first CNC milling machine, expanding its business into precision machining.

During the 2000’s, after the acquisition of a new facility, it has been made significant investments to extend CNC machinery fleet, create a CAD/CAM programming department and train new employees.

In 2020 it took place a facility expansion in order to further increase the company’s manufacturing capacity and better meet the growing customers’ needs. Then, since 2021, SMP has implemented a Quality Management System compliant with ISO 9001:2015, with the intention of guaranteeing increasingly quality standards and constantly improving its production system.
